Improving Political Discourse in the Media:
Fantasy or Reality?

Join nationally-known political strategist and communications expert Mike McCurry, in a conversation about the causes and solutions to the current dismal state of political discourse in the media.

  • Americans are tired of polarized political bickering and journalists who stir the pot with divisive language designed to rake in big ratings numbers.
  • We are losing the opportunity to educate ourselves about issues so that we can work together effectively to make informed decisions about our collective future.
  • What can we do to alter the tone of media coverage? How do we take responsibility to effect this change?

Mike McCurry is a principal at Public Strategies Washington, Inc., where he provides counsel on communications strategies and management to corporate and non-profit clients. He is a veteran political strategist and spokesperson with over 30 years experience in Washington D.C. and Arizona. He is a member of the Commission on Presidential Debates.
